October 13, 2011 In preparation of the Supercomputing Conference 2011 in Seattle our special website is now up and running: event.vampir.eu
The site is still in production but feel free to take a look.
November 13, 2010 At our booth #1313 at the Super Computing Conference 2010 in New Orleans Louisiana we will be showing Vampir 7.3 for Linux, Windows and Mac OS X. You can download a demo version here. All the flyers are available in our information material section.
November 16, 2009 At our booth #2085 at the Super Computing Conference 2009 in Portland Oregon we will be showing Vampir 7.1 for Windows along with a beta-release for Linux. Vampir 5 also received an update and is now available in Version 5.3. You can download a demo here. As usual we provide the news flyer as pdf-files in our information material section.
June 22, 2009 First Release Candidate of Vampir for Windows. The trial period is set to 3 month and restricted to 16 processes.
February 18, 2009 This is the 3rd beta version of Vampir for Windows. We updated OTF to the current version and added the legend display. For convenience of the user an installer was added.
November 21, 2008 Time synchronization between MPI processes has been improved significantly with VampirTrace 5.6 so that “backwards running” messages should occur almost never ever again. The new synchronized flushing procedure will reduce overall runtime of a traced application if intermediate buffer flushes become necessary. VampirTrace 5.6 introduces enhanced support for multithreaded applications which now comprises POSIX Threads in addition to OpenMP. VampirTrace 5.6 has been extended for tracing MPI-2 collective and I/O operations. Hardware performance counters are now accessible on NEC SX platforms. The statistics generation of the new VampirTrace version covers collective operations in addition to function and point-to-point message statistics. Those statistics can be transformed into a TeX document by the Open Trace Format (OTF) profiler of the prepackaged OTF version 1.5. Together with the release of VampirTrace 5.6, a BETA of the upcoming version will be made available that supports tracing on IBM Cell systems.
November 21, 2008 A new release version of VampirServer is available as part of our scalable performance analysis software package. VampirServer 1.10 has been updated to the latest OTF version 1.5 and includes improvements in the zooming possibilities of timeline displays and some bug fixes for certain platforms. In addition, the new version has initial support of user-definable marker records that can be used to better identify interesting program areas.
November 16, 2008 Together with the start of the Supercomputing 2008 in Austin (Texas), the website received a major update. We added all the flyer available at our booth #2903 to the information material section. The new beta of Vampir for Windows can be downloaded as of now. Another big improvement is the all new interactive tutorial. Feel free to watch the demos on how to create traces with VampirTrace and how to use the Vampir tool.
October 09, 2008 Today beta 2 of Vampir for Windows was made available for the public. We added many new features including the counter display, the filter dialogs and support for ticks.
September 11, 2008 Release of the beta 1 version of Vampir for Windows. In this release preferences were added. Colors for functions and function groups are now selectable and the usability of process timeline and timeline were impreoved.
