  November 12-15, 2007 Presentation of the Vampir tool suite at SC 2007 (booth 3209) in Reno, U.S.A. Get a demo of Vampir and talk directly to the developers of the software

  November 12, 2007 Release of Vampir 5.2, VampirServer 1.8 and VampirTrace 5.4.0. Major new features are user defined performance metrics and support of I/O events. The installation process was also improved.

  October 5, 2007 Release of VampirTrace 5.3.2 with improved support for cross building and added support for VPATH builds

  June 25th, 2007 VampirServer 1.7 is released at 22nd International Supercomputing Conference in Dresden. Major novelties are: Support for MPI collective operations, on-the-fly trace format compression, improved parallel performance, better color representation of activities, and bug fixes.

  June 25th, 2007 Vampir 5.1 is released at 22nd International Supercomputing Conference. Our classic now supports compressed OTF trace files and comes with improved symbol and color handling for performance events. Furthermore, an all new maintenance model has been introduced.

  June 25th, 2007 Release of VampirTrace 5.3 which now supports customizable event filters, compiler wrappers for easy integration in existing projects, Intel 10.x compiler instrumentation, DynInst binary instrumentation, monitoring on Mac OS X, and tracing of memory management functions.

  March 15-21, 2007 Presentation of the latest Vampir tool suite at CeBIT 2007 (booth D04 in exhibition hall 9). Try out Vampir, VampirServer and VampirTrace and talk to experts.

  January 15th, 2007 VampirTrace 5.2.5 released. VampirTrace now supports the recording of file I/O and memory allocation events. Additionally, binary instrumentation with Dyninst 5.0.1 has been included. VampirTrace is OpenSource and available at http://www.tu-dresden.de/zih/vampirtrace.

  November 15th, 2006 BOF at SC06: The Open Trace Format (OTF) and Open Tracing for HPC.

  November 13-17, 2006 Presentation of Vampir and VampirServer at SC06(Booth 756).

  November 13th, 2006 Open Trace Format (OTF) 1.2.18 released. Includes zlib support for on-the-fly lossless trace data compression and several bug fixes.

  August 23rd, 2006 Open Trace Format (OTF) Library 1.2.11 released. This portable library enables third party monitoring systems to write event traces that can be visualized with Vampir. The software can be downloaded from

  July 1st, 2006 Vampir 5.0 is now available for MAC OS X (PPC)
